We turn up early
A taxi that arrives on time is doing the bare minimum. Our drivers aim to be outside five minutes before you asked.

About us
City Cars has been moving people around Wolverhampton and up and down the country for years — airport runs at four in the morning, school contracts at eight, and a minibus to Manchester on a Saturday night.
Our story
We started as a local firm doing what local firms do — short hops around Wolverhampton, school runs, the odd trip into Birmingham. What changed things was the airport work.
Once you have driven someone to Birmingham Airport at 3.30am and they have landed back safely a fortnight later to find the same driver waiting in arrivals, you tend to keep that customer. That is how the airport side of City Cars grew, and it is still the biggest part of what we do — along with everything that came with it: executive chauffeur work, minibuses for groups, courier runs and local authority contracts.
We are still a Wolverhampton firm. The phone is answered here, the drivers live here, and if something goes wrong you can speak to somebody who can actually do something about it.

How we work
A taxi that arrives on time is doing the bare minimum. Our drivers aim to be outside five minutes before you asked.
The price we give you is the price you pay. No traffic surcharge, no mysterious extras at the end of the journey.
A lot of our work is the same faces every week — hospital runs, school contracts, the 5am Monday flight. That matters to us.
Every driver is badged and DBS-checked, every vehicle is plated, inspected and insured. No shortcuts.

Our app
The City Cars app lets you book in a few taps, watch the car coming to you on a map, and pay without digging for cash. Free on the App Store.
Where we cover
Ready when you are
One journey is usually enough. Most of our customers never ring anyone else afterwards.
